A Blessing from Rev. Lisa Greenwood

Dear Friends,

This season reminds us that God’s love meets us where we are — unexpected, tender, and transformative. From our family to yours, I offer these words of blessing.

Merry Christmas,

A Christmas Blessing

At Christmas, we remember that God’s love does not wait for us to get it all right. It comes — unexpected, uncontained — right where we are. In this moment, and in every ordinary moment, God is with us.

This season, I am grateful to be part of Texas Methodist Foundation and its work to help more people experience Christ’s love alive among us. I see this love in leaders who respond to God’s gentle invitations, in neighbors who show up when someone needs help, and in small acts of generosity that ripple farther than we can imagine. And this year, in particular, I have been so moved by this generosity. Each gesture becomes a small space where Christ can be reborn.

Christmas reminds us that love shows up in the most unexpected places, in the everyday moments we sometimes rush through.

My prayer for you is that you know you are fully held and loved. May that love give you the courage to keep saying yes to God’s unfolding story of hope. And may we, together, carry the light of Christ into every part of the world, bringing warmth, healing, and peace wherever it is needed.

By the grace of God, may it be so, dear friends.

Merry Christmas.
